About the Coach
This spring will be my 8th season as MR Instructional coach. I've also coached the Shaler American Legion team that won Region 6 and qualified for State Playoffs in 2000.

Other coaching experience includes: 10+ years at the Jerry Matulevic Baseball Camp; (3) University of Pittsburgh winter basball camps; at the colt league level under Dave Fortun; two falls at Get Ahead in the Game camp with Todd Schiffhauer and Jason Rakers; private lessons; and a season of MR t-ball. I played at Pitt for (4) years; St. John's semi-pro for (4) years; Shaler varsity for (3) years; and many years ago, played for Braun Jeffery.

Our season came to an end with an epic, back-and-forth battle...a one-run loss in extra innings to the red team. Of our 6 losses...4 were to red!!
The Orioles did some remarkable things this year...we saw improvement in a number of areas. Believe me when I tell you: I loved every minute of this season - coaching your boys. THANK YOU for the opportunity! I hope your boys all remember the year with their Coach Henne, the fun we had as an Oriole team. Big thanks also goes out to all of the assistants for making the games go smoothly for me behind the scenes.
Please join Mrs. Henne and me at our home for our end-of-the-year party.
I'll re-cap the season and have something special for each player, as well as some Outstanding Achievement Awards.
It is always a memorable night...(this will be our 4th one).
We'll do it this Weds night (22nd), at 6 pm. Siblings and grandparents are invited...I know many of them have followed us faithfully all year.
Pizza and drinks will be provided. We do not ask for parents to bring anything; but many do anyway...so if you make a special dessert, or have a great dip recipe, feel free. (Just please respond to this email though so that we have an approximate headcount.),
