Grew up and played Baseball on Troy Hill. Went to North Catholic High school, graduated in 1991. Also Played Dek Hockey for many years (and still currently playing). I also enjoy golfing (when I can find any spare time). Moved to Shaler in 1997 and have been involved in MRAA baseball for 4 years with my son Braeden (8) and daughter Devyn (5). I helped as an assistant coach for the past 3 years in both the spring and fall season.
Comments from the Coach:
I think we had a great week of baseball.
We played 3 games, and although we only won 1, they were all very competetive. I believe we are playing better as a team and individually. I hope you all are having fun along the way. I wanted to highlight a few things from the last 3 games as everyone did some very positivie things:
We had 3 players receiving a game ball in the last 3 games (although Certainly many of the kids did things to deserve one). These 3 players were Jared Vance, Braeden Campbell and Danny Perrine.
Great Job kids!
The bats are getting hot for everyone. Here are the stats on the week:
Tyler was 5 for 8 on the week with some really nice hits to the outfield
Keegan was 6 for 11....and he almost pulled off a "sportcenter
play of the week in left field today"
Jake was 3 for 8. Jake also had a couple of key at bats to move runners home
Danny was 5 for 10. he also had some really nice plays in the field, including not only stopping a bullet but using his body to knock the ball down and getting the out at first (a major league play)!
Steven was 7 for 11 with a couple of doubles. he also had some RBI's and made some nice defensive plays
Luke was 6 for 9 on the week with a few line drives up the middle. he also drove in some runs at key moments
Michael was 5 for 5 on the week and scored / hit in a couple of runs
Braeden was 8 for 10 on the week. He also had some nice plays in the field, including an unassisted double play (and nearly a second one in today's game)
Jared was 3 for 9 on the week. He is swinging the bat well and is starting to see results over the last few games. Nice Job!
Benny was 5 for 10 on the week. He also had a few nice plays at SS in getting key outs.
Justin was 6 for 10 on the week. he also made some nice plays at third base all week long (and sacrificed his body in the process - Nice Job Justin!)
Our game schedule for the upcoming week is:
June 1st at 6pm June 4th at 1215pm If anything changes with this I will let you know. Great week Bombers! Coach Campbell |
